About Us
Seagull Bay Dairy, established in 1980, is the creation of Alan and Norma Andersen of American Falls, Idaho. The herd began with about 100 milking cows, several of which were purchased from Alan's father Lyle. Now, thirty years later, there are 600 cows and a few hundred replacements housed at the dairy. About 80 of the milking cows are registered.
In 2005, the Andersen family purchased another dairy farm in Declo, ID and named it Andersen Dairy. This farm was expanded to its current 1400 cow capacity. Andersen Dairy, Inc. also houses 1300 replacement heifers for both Andersen family dairies.
The management of the dairies is a team effort. Greg Andersen lives in American Falls and primarily manages Seagull Bay Dairy while Andersen Dairy is managed by Ben Andersen who resides in Declo. Alan is the CEO of the family dairies while Norma is the CFO and they live in Burley, ID.
